This past weekend I had the privilege of photographing the 11th annual Miles for Myles road race. This event is held each October to raise awareness of the dangers of speeding. My good friends Pete and Kate McCarron, tragically lost their son Myles in a car accident 11 years ago and they hold this event in his memory. Over the past several years the race has steadily gained attendance. This year there were 535 participants. The money raised goes towards endorsing the message of “No Need to Speed” and also the Lunenburg athletics. It is always a wonderful day filled with families, music, and some friendly competition! The day started out with a kids 2-mile bike ride with the chief of police, then a kids fun run and finally a 5K run/walk.
